Frequently Asked Questions
What if I have to cancel my date?
Our booking and payment policy takes this slight possibility into account. The initial deposit is non-refundable, however, it is a small enough amount so it won’t be a huge financial burden. Six months before your wedding the second deposit is due. If your plans have changed and you need to cancel we just void the contract and this deposit and your final balance are not owed. If you pay the second deposit and cancel before your date, your final balance is not required and we void the contract from there. We here at Local Motion Entertainment have compassion and will work out any issues to make every client feel they were treated with the utmost respect.
What if I have to change my date?
Every effort will be made to reschedule your DJ to cover your new date. If that DJ is unavailable, we will work with you to find a date that works for the both of us. If we can’t come together on a mutual date, we will have a Local Motion DJ who is available meet with you. This will be in an attempt to cover your event with another DJ who you will be as excited to work with as the one originally hired. Once you hire Local Motion Entertainment, you will be fully covered regardless of the situation and we will create a relationship you have full confidence in.
What if my DJ gets sick?
Once you reserve your DJ your date is secure with Local Motion Entertainment. If, in the rare occasion your DJ is unable to get to your wedding for any legitimate reason, we will have another Local Motion DJ available to cover your date. Our DJs are truly interchangeable and this is one reason why we maintain a small group. We all understand and reflect each other’s personality and are as similar in performance as possible. This is the best back up plan there is. If you didn’t know what your DJ looked like, you wouldn’t notice the difference between any Local Motion DJ performance-wise.
Do you accept requests from our guests?
That is completely up to your discretion as a client. We have some brides and grooms that under no circumstance, want us to take a request from their guests so that we can stick solely to their playlist and special requests. In this case, we would politely inform your guest requesting a song that the bride and groom have a very long list of special requests and if we have time to fit the request in, we will do our best. On the other hand, if you are open to letting us take requests from your guests, we are there to entertain your guests so taking a request is not a problem for any of our DJs- as long as it is appropriate and fits with what you and your guests are getting into. Ultimately we will use our discretion as professional DJs to make the call as to whether the request will work with your crowd.
