Our first priority is to ensure that you make a connection and are comfortable with the DJ of your choice. We arrange a free consultation to discuss the vision for your wedding in detail. Our goal is to make sure that our Local Motion DJ is the right fit for you and your fiancé(e) and see how we can help bring your wedding vision to life. We are a “no pressure” team and are very laid back, so rest assured that you won’t be faced with any uncomfortable sales tactics during this consultation.

Our DJs don’t just play music for the dancing portion of your reception. We also MC and host your entire wedding. We walk your guests through your reception and all of the ceremonies that are included. We are an integral part of the planning process, because we create an itinerary that flows the way YOU want it to. All of our DJs have a ton of experience DJing and planning weddings, so don’t be shy – pick our brains and use us as a resource throughout the planning process whenever you have questions or ideas that pop up.

We understand that every bride and groom have different tastes and preferred styles of music. Your guests do too! That is why we don’t play the same music at every wedding reception. Whether you’re into dance & Top 40, oldies, rock & roll, or country, we will work with you to customize your music from the cocktail hour and dinner through the last encore song of the night.

We will provide you with a questionnaire to help you start thinking about the special ceremony songs that you would like including your first dance, parent dances, and even the type of music you want for the formal introductions that kick off the festivities and help set the tone of the night. Will your best man and maid of honor come into the room to Jack Johnson or AC/DC? We will ask for your special requests, must-play songs, favorite artists and genres, and, most importantly, your “Do Not Play” list. We know that the Chicken Dance can be polarizing.

You will get a chance to arrange a meeting with your DJ about a month before your wedding to go over all of the final details of your big day. From the ceremony music and wireless microphone for your officiant to the formal introductions of your family and wedding party at the reception, we will discuss all of the details that will go into your day. We will arrange your introductions as a newly married couple, along with special ceremonies like your first dance and cake cutting. You and your DJ will go over every last detail to ensure that you are all on the same page and you get the wedding of your dreams, exactly as you envisioned it.
